I absolutely adore highlighter. I wear it every single day, no matter how simple my makeup is. I just love the effect it gives, and the way it catches the light. I have always thought a good highlighter can really help lift the cheekbones and sculpt the face. I love the ethereal glow it can bring to an otherwise dull, tired complexion. The Edward Bess All Over Seduction in Sunlight is the latest addition to my highlighter collection.
For winter, I generally prefer a cream highlighter since a powder can look too frosted and dry in the harsh months. Sunlight is a creamy, emollient texture which is easy to apply and blend with fingertips. The color is a warm champagne, which adds luminosity to the skin without adding frost or shimmer. The look is natural, gentle and sophisticated.
Below are some comparisons on Edward Bess Sunlight with NARS Copacabana and Armani Fluid Sheer in Number 2. Swatches are very heavy to show the color. The NARS formula goes on creamy but dries to a powder, and is more pink toned. The Armani Fluid Sheer is very similar in color, but is not as quick and easy for my rushed morning routine.

ReplyDeleteLucy- So worth it.
Tracy- Love this one!
Sonia- I didn't even think of that. Will update if I can get a good shot!
I just bought this too, and have been using it. The effect is lovely, though I actually find it a bit dry.
ReplyDeleteI have Afterglow...love it! I should check this one out as well.
ReplyDeleteLarie- Really? I haven't noticed any dryness yet. But that could be because I had been using my Nars multiple before which is notoriously dry!
ReplyDeleteLexi- Definitely! I usually go for pinks or champagne type colors in the winter and more peachy shades in the summer.
I love its color, better to try this one too.
