Please bare with me as I am currently trying to figure out the best way to go about my blogging. I didn't want to start posting on Product Doctor about non beauty things because I didn't think all my readers and followers would be interested. That being said, my followers are based here for the time being. Honestly, I don't think I can reliably keep up with both so I will see how things go for a bit before making any decisions. Thank you for your patience!

ReplyDeleteIn terms of the blogs, I think either way would be great, as long as it works for you! I would love to see fashion on Product Doctor if that's what you decide (the heels you posted were gorgeous!). It's nice to see things beyond just products. after all the blog is about you, and I think it should naturally follow what you're loving at the moment, whether it be fashion or beauty :) (And side note, your blog title is pretty flexible too!)
Yes it is! And thanks for the advice! I am enjoying talking about some other things! I feel too pressured to keep up with all the new collections and I just can't justify it anymore! Plus I love my shoes!
DeleteHi Nisha- I love your blog and have been quietly following you for quite a while. I think that you shouldn't have to feel torn between the two blogs, and certainly maintaining two blogs plus working full-time is going to leave you far too tired to even think of wearing those gorgeous YSL shoes. Since your audience is here why don't you just mix it up and expand this blog to include anything that you want to discuss and share- be it fashion, makeup- or whatever strikes your fancy-- trust me, we will all happily take that journey with you. I myself get tired of ONLY doing product reviews and swatches- so I periodically include pictures of shoes that I want etc. Also you shouldn't feel the pressure to keep up with all of the upcoming collections etc-- there are plenty of bloggers out there who do just that, and you don't have to even try to justify it. Pick and choose what you feel like covering-- there is no pressure or expectation from us. We are here for you, and what you contribute. You could cover a single lipstick that you liked from a vast collection, and we would be happy to have your take on it. I also suspect as a doctor that you have enough pressure on you-- so don't allow what you do for fun become a source of pressure. I certainly do understand how this happens-- I find myself in this same situation-- since my "real life" is in academia, I often find myself applying the same type of pressure on myself to post a review as I have to write a chapter, but it really shouldn't be that way. Whatever you do decide-- know that what you write is of value to us, but you are not expected to stick with the formula that you have set. Follow your heart and blog the way you want to- I think that you might be surprised just how receptive all of your readers will be-- I know that I am!

The only rule that you need to follow- is to blog about what excites and interests you-- whether it is an eye shadow, a pair of shoes, or an amazing day at work. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! xx
